Privacy Policy

This covers two different groups. If you’re reading the site, section two is short. If you’ve been told Profluento holds data about you, start at section four.

Who we are

Profluento makes lead-scoring software for wealth managers and advisory firms. This policy covers profluento.dev and the product described on it.

Profluento isn’t an incorporated company. It’s operated by its founder, and the contact route for anything in this policy is privacy@profluento.dev.

Visitors to this site

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and there’s no consent banner because there’s nothing to consent to.

Page views are measured with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It identifies a visit with a hash derived from the request rather than an identifier stored on your device, discards that after 24 hours, and records only aggregate detail: page, referrer, approximate country and region, device type, browser and operating system. None of it’s tied to a person and none of it can follow you to another site.

Booking a consultation takes you to TidyCal, a third party with its own privacy policy. Anything you type there is handled by them as well as us.

People we score

Profluento ranks prospective clients for advisory firms. That means it processes personal data about people who never signed up for anything, so this section is written for them rather than for our customers.

What the data is

Professional information taken from sources that are already public or licensed from data providers: name, job title, employer, professional history, industry, and the city and country of work. Profluento derives a score and a short plain-English reason from that.

What it’s never

Validation rejects religion, ethnicity, gender and political affiliation before anything is scored. Those categories cannot enter the model. We don’t collect financial account data, government identifiers, health data or anything about your private life.

Why we’re allowed to

For people in the UK, the EU and Switzerland we rely on legitimate interests: identifying businesses and professionals who may want a service, using information they have made public in a professional context. That basis is conditional on your rights, and you can object at any time. If you do, we stop, and we don’t need a reason from you.

Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to a copy in a portable format, to restrict what we do with it, and to complain to your data protection regulator.

California residents can ask what has been collected and request deletion. Profluento doesn’t sell personal information and doesn’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

To be removed, email privacy@profluento.dev. Say who you are and include the profile or employer we would know you by. We’ll confirm within 30 days, and we won’t ask you to create an account or justify the request.

Who else sees it

Scores and the profiles behind them are visible to the advisory firm that set the targets. Beyond that, data reaches only the providers that run the service: hosting and analytics, the data sources the profiles come from, and, where a customer connects them, their own mailbox, CRM and calendar. Those connections write into systems the customer already controls.

We don’t sell personal data and we don’t share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Prospect records are kept while the customer’s targeting still matches them, and are deleted when the customer’s account closes. If you ask to be removed we delete your record and keep only the minimum needed to make sure you aren’t scored again.

International transfers

Profluento operates from the United States, so data about people in the UK, the EU and Switzerland is processed there. Where that transfer needs a legal mechanism we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses, and on the UK Addendum for UK data.

Trademarks and notices

Gmail and Google Calendar are trademarks of Google LLC. Microsoft and Outlook are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. HubSpot is a trademark of HubSpot, Inc. Salesforce is a trademark of Salesforce, Inc. Slack is a registered trademark and service mark of Slack Technologies, Inc.

All other product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used on this site for identification purposes only. Their use describes compatibility and implies no affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from them.

Profluento is a software provider. It isn’t an investment adviser or a broker-dealer, it isn’t registered with the SEC or FINRA, and nothing it produces is investment, legal or tax advice. Scores and drafts are suggestions for a licensed professional to review before acting.

Names, scores and messages shown on the site are illustrative. They do not depict real individuals and contain no real personal data.
